How do I book a vet?
Browse vets on the /vets page, click “Book Now” on a vet profile, choose a date and time, and pay securely via M-Pesa. You'll receive a confirmation SMS and email.
How does M-Pesa payment work?
When you confirm a booking, you'll receive an M-Pesa STK push prompt on your phone. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the payment. The transaction is instant and secure.
What is escrow?
Your payment is held safely in escrow until after the appointment is completed. This protects you as the owner and ensures the vet gets paid only after delivering the service.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. You can cancel up to 24 hours before the appointment for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee. Go to My Bookings in your dashboard to cancel.
What is the booking fee?
VetaKe charges a small platform fee on each booking to maintain the service. The vet's consultation fee is set by the vet and clearly displayed before you book.
For Animal Owners
What animals does VetaKe cover?
VetaKe covers all types of animals including cattle, goats, sheep, poultry, dogs, cats, and other livestock. When searching, you can filter by animal type to find the right specialist.
Are the vets verified?
Yes. Every vet on VetaKe is verified against the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) register before they can accept bookings. You can see their KVB license number on their profile.
How do I find a vet near me?
Use the search bar on the homepage or the /vets page. Enter your county or town, and vets in your area will be listed. You can also filter by animal type and availability.
For Veterinarians
How do I join as a vet?
Go to /register/vet and fill in your details including your KVB license number. Our team will verify your credentials within 1–2 business days and activate your profile.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed via M-Pesa directly to your registered number. After a booking is completed and reviewed, your payout (minus the 15% commission) is sent the same day.
What is the commission rate?
VetaKe charges a 15% commission per completed booking. This is among the lowest in the industry. There are no monthly fees, setup costs, or hidden charges.

How do I reset my password?
On the login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Is my data safe?
Yes. VetaKe uses industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. We never share your personal information with third parties without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
